Dr. Ahmed completed his medical training at some of the world’s most respected institutions, including University of Dundee, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and MD Anderson Cancer Center. He brings this high level of expertise to every patient he treats.
He is highly skilled in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including endoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, and more—allowing him to offer comprehensive care in one place.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family including his wife and four kids . Three of his older daughters have decided to follow in his footsteps and are pursuing medical degrees across various different institutions in the United States including University of Maryland, Tufts college of Dentistry and Florida Medicine.


Alyssa Canales
MSN, RN, AGACNP-BC
Alyssa Canales is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She earned her master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and has spent the past three years practicing in the Crossroads region, specializing in nephrology. Her experience includes conducting routine evaluations and managing chronic conditions to support long-term patient health.
Before earning her master’s degree, Alyssa attended Victoria College, where she graduated in 2013 and became a Registered Nurse (RN). She worked locally as an RN for eight years in both intensive care and hospice settings. Her diverse experience allowed her to provide care for critically ill and medically complex patients in the ICU while also supporting patients and families through end-of-life care in hospice.
Alyssa is deeply passionate about patient care. Her strengths are her attentive listening, compassion, and strong attention to detail. She values collaboration and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to help improve patient outcomes. She believes in treating each patient as an individual by building meaningful relationships, providing education, and delivering personalised care that promotes patient satisfaction and overall well-being.
Outside of caring for her patients, Alyssa enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, especially through art and music. Creating and experiencing music together as a family has become one of the most meaningful ways they build lasting memories. She loves traveling to concerts and is passionate in supporting her children in their school bands.
